Nearly 350 fans gathered early in the morning to greet the star who has been juggling activities between Hollywood and Korea as of late.Riding the KE7207 flight from Gimpo to Haneda that morning with an arrival time of 11:05, the star made his first appearance fifteen minutes later at 11:20 in the arrival lobby.

Lee Byung Hun was dressed in a casual attire of jeans and a jacket with a black muffler wrapped around his neck as he made his arrival in Japan for the first time in over a year. While making his way through the arrival lobby, the actor halted for a moment and began to greet the waiting fans with sincere handshakes. In front of the reporters, Lee Byung Hun shared his thanks and said, “Even though it has been a year since being in this country, I want to share my thanks to all the fans here that have been supporting me unwaveringly, and welcomed me with so much love.”

In Japan to promote his latest movie “Gwanghae, the Man Who Became King” in a press conference on the 29th, Lee Byung Hun will also be participating in a celebrity signing event held by Japan Premier events.

“Gwanghae, the Man Who Became King” was released last September to over 12.3 million spectators, and reached third in film popularity rankings despite it being a historical film. The film details a take on the 15 day period missing from history during the reign of Josun’s King Gwanghae. The story is that of the king switching places with a humble commoner named Ha Sun and the events that occur, which earned Lee Byung Hun much respect for taking on the responsibility of playing two polar opposite roles.

This film will be released in Japan on February 16th under the title of “The Man Who Became King”.
